Seattle Mariners acquire RHP Yosver Zulueta from Reds
The Seattle Mariners have acquired right-handed pitcher Yosver Zulueta from the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for minor league right-handed pitcher Dusty Revis.
Seattle is also receiving its flowers from MLB's flagship channel, MLB Network. MLB Network is currently in the midst of releasing its "Top 100 players right now" list and the Mariners had two players ranked within the 80-61 range, which were revealed Jan. 14.
After another strong season, the Mariners reached an agreement with Logan Gilbert on a one-year deal that avoids arbitration.
It was the opening day of MLB's international signing window, and with most contracts actually agreed to well in advance, the Mariners already have a bunch of youngsters added to the organization. The highlight: Juan Rijo, a 17-year old outfielder from the Dominican Republic. He signed for a $2.2 million bonus.
